DSL truck driver wages are among the best in the industry. New employees and experienced truck drivers can easily make over $80,000 their first year with Duncan and Son. Our hardest working and longest tenured CDL drivers that maximize their efforts are bringing in annual earnings of over $100,000.

Part of a good retirement plan involves working for a company that invests in you. When it comes to truck driver retirement, it is never too early to start planning. You may decide that you want to spend more time with your family, or maybe you want to travel more. Regardless of the reason, you never know when retirement is necessary and should start planning for it as soon as you can.

Employees (21 years or older) who have been with the company for 60 days are eligible for automatic enrollment in a standard 401k model – structured based on their age – at the rate of 4% of their gross income. At the same time, the company automatically contributes the equivalent of 3.5% of their gross income into the same account.

For an employee who chooses to contribute 5% or more of their gross income, the company will automatically contribute 100% of first 3 percent and 50% of next 2 percent of gross income to the same account.

Any contributions after 1/1/2022 are 100% vested immediately and any contributions prior to that date becomes fully vested in six years (20% per year becomes the employee’s money). The employee also has the option to stop or start deductions at any time after they are eligible.

New hires at Duncan & Son who have a valid TWIC card will receive a $500 bonus upon hire and one extra cent per mile. For drivers without their TWIC cards, DSL will help them obtain one. We will schedule all necessary appointments, handle paperwork and phone calls, pay the upfront fee and allow drivers to set up a payment plan for reimbursement. Each card is good for five years, so you don’t need to worry about constantly reapplying.
